What we do
Collegiate NFL Impact ranks colleges and conferences by how their alumni perform in the NFL. We score every player who appears in a regular-season box score, credit that production to the college football program he played for, and roll the totals up by school and conference—week by week and for full seasons back to 2010.
The goal is a clear, comparable measure of college-to-NFL impact: which programs keep producing productive NFL players, and how that shows up in the numbers.
What you can explore
- Season and week rankings — fantasy points and category views (passing, rushing, receiving, defense, kicking, and more) for the current season or any year on the site
- Conference view — the same production totals grouped by conference
- College pages — player-level detail for a school in a given season
- Filters — draft class, draft round, and position, including WRU / RBU-style path pages
How production is scored
Impact is measured with a fantasy-point system applied to NFL box-score stats. Fantasy Points rankings order colleges by total points across every category. Named views (passing, rushing, and so on) still show fantasy points but rank by that view’s headline counting stat—yards, tackles, field goals made, and similar.
How players are assigned to colleges, what games count, and how often data updates are explained on the Data & Methodology page. Point values for each category are listed below.

Older seasons
Rankings cover every regular-season NFL game from 2010 onward. Box scores did not always track every stat we score: quarterback hits from 2011, tackles for loss from 2014. Players earned no points for those stats before then because they were not recorded.
That mainly affects defense for 2010–2013. Offense, kicking, punting, and returns are tracked the same way in every season shown. See Data & Methodology for attribution, update schedule, and related details.
